Willie Mullins is Ireland’s champion National Hunt trainer and has dominated the sport in his homeland for the last decade.
Based at Closutton in County Carlow, Willie has in excess of 180 horses in his care and is widely regarded as one of the greatest trainers of all-time.
He commenced his training career in 1988, having previous worked as an assistant to his father, Paddy, and leading Flat trainer Jim Bolger.
Mullins is a former six-time champion amateur jockey in Ireland, winning over the Grand National fences at Aintree aboard Atha Cliath in the 1983 Fox Hunters’ and the 1996 Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival on Wither Or Which.
Willie has trained countless big-race winners and last year broke the Festival record when saddling eight winners during a magical four days at Prestbury Park in March.
